IGOFAR( A poem by Archie King)
The bench is at Ratliff's Ferry. Ratliff's Ferry is at close
to the 123-124 mile marker of the Natchez Trace. It was dedicated a couple
weeks ago with John's family being there. There were also over 125 bikes in
the parking area. The plaque is on the bench. The bench is a simple two-seater.
We think it is something that John would be proud of, as is his family and
friends. The plaque reads: IN MEMORY OF JOHN M. LYLE, 1930-2002, BMW ROM.
"The family of John M. Lyle wishes to thank BMW RoM for the placement of benches at Ratliff Ferry in memory of John and Jimmy Jenkins. The support of his Kickstand and Ratliff Ferry friends and his faithful riding companions gave John courage and strength in a difficult period, and he treasured his association with all of you. Your kindness to us holds you dear to our hearts.
Barbara Lyle"
