Met at the Front Porch Restaurant in Hattiesburg, MS for lunch.
The meeting was called to order by Alan Henderson, President. Alan made a formal donation to the Salvation Army in the name of the BMW Riders of Mississippi for the Smithville, MS tornado victims. Alan presented a check for $900 to Captain Gene Slusher of the Salvation Army.
Old business: Several members went over what had been done, paid for and set up for the upcoming Dogwood Trail Rally in April. Still need to make sure we will have Goldie’s catering our dinner Saturday night. Everything is coming along nicely for the Rally. There was a suggestion by a club member that we look into giving away something besides pins at the rally, for example, at the Chicken Rally, they give away a rubber chicken. We will accept any ideas from our members. Just let us know. Another suggestion made was to cut back on the plaques given at the rally, maybe replace them with something else.
New business: Alan talked about our monthly meetings and how during the November meeting, the members who were in attendance had set up the monthly meetings through September 2012. He also asked all members present to please let him and other members know what they would like to do as a club to get more members involved. Some ideas offered were a tech day for members to work on their motorcycles, another visit to Matherville, MS, a visit to a motorcycle museum in the Delta. We are open for new ideas and new places to ride, eat and visit. Alan also welcomed two new members to the club – Dan Stubblefield from Madison , MS and David McShane from Lucedale, MS. Make sure you welcome them if you have not already done so. Frank Glamser also brought the plaque memorializing members who have passed away.
The meeting was adjourned.
